This event took place at a packed Hammersmith Town Hall in London.
We were blessed with Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani and his family's
presence, and also there was Qur'aan recitation, Selaa and Whirling
Dervishes, The Naqshbandi Ensemble, Chico speaking and singing,
Shahaada, Dhikr-Allah, Mawlid, Shaykh Hisham announced the formation
of The Sufi Muslim Council of Great Britain, he made a special Du'a
for us all, and we were then all served excellent food. Enjoyed and
plentiful enough that people took some home too!
This was a free event, open to the public, and many people bought
books at Iftihar's store (also online at www.barakah.co.uk), and many
showed their great pleasure and appreciation by giving donations of
money, and able assistance.
We want to give thanks to all of the logistics crew that cooked
beautifully and cleaned up afterwards, ran sound and lighting,
ushered people in and out, provided security, smiled, fended for
babies and small children, and made this event a HUGE success!
......oh, and not to forget the hugely talented and magnificently
understated Dr. Abbas who needs no introduction.
He makes them, so warmly! We love you, Dr. Abbas.
